A dream come true, or the story of a successful conversion

The Baele family ran a crop and milk farm for generations in the Belgium’s Namur region. The different crises encountered over recent years in the farming industry encouraged Jean-François, the young son with a passion for farming, to consider a new direction for the family business. The desire to diversify the farm’s activities was clearly demonstrated in 2005 when he came up with the idea of installing a 5-hectar vineyard in the Hesbaye region.

In order to achieve this and produce quality wines, Jean-François invested in high performance equipment which enables him, from this day forth, to produce his new grape varieties. In the future, this equipment will enable him to expand his vineyards and widen his range of wine.
